Angelica Timas immigrated from Portugal to Boston as a teenager, where she completed high school, undecided between the voices of passion and reason, a fashion degree was not an option at the beginning of university studies. Angelica obtained two Master's degrees in Professional Studies in Informatics and Computer Science, however while enrolled in her Ph.D. program in the same area, she decided to put it on hold when she decided to follow her passion for fashion. A full-time Senior Software Developer, mother and CEO of the Angelica Timas brand, her dream is certainly a reality. 
 

With no formal training in fashion, Angelica has mastered her skills by self-taught knowledge and true passion for what she envisions in her work. The aesthetics of her collections are inspired by various passions: her culture, her history, nature, her love of historical architecture and the simple things that life has to offer.

Angelica has received several awards during her short career, she is a three-time Award Winning Designer of the Year by Boston Fashion Awards as well international fashion nominations including 2018 Best International Designer by Black Fashion Week Lisbon. This past May 4th she received the 2019 Boston Arts Academy Fashion Honoree Award.

Her work has been featured in a number of national and international publications such as Vogue UK, Glamour UK and Glamour Italia, Runway Magazine, Switch Magazine Italy and Dopeness Magazine to name a few. Celebrities have been seen wearing one of her garments.  Angelica is also a member and Board Chair of Fashion Group International – Boston as well as a Member of the Advisory Board for Boston Arts Academy Fashion Department.
